Dr. Nikesh Patel
Nik graduated from Kings College London in 2009. He then went on to study at the same University a Masters program in Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry at Kings College London for 2 years to further his knowledge and learn the latest dental techniques from some of the worlds best dentists. There are many other post-graduate courses that Nik went on to complete internationally to again further his clinical knowledge and skills.
After several years of working in the UK Dr Nik decided to move to Brisbane for a lifestyle change. He moved over with his wife Sima in 2014 and has not looked back since. He does the best he can for patients to receive the best possible experience.
His goal is to provide affordable, quality family dental care in a warm environment using only the best materials, techniques and latest technology.
Aside from Dentistry, Niks hobbies include cooking, golf, tennis, martial arts and spending time with his family.
Dr Kim Jaffar
Kim was born in Canberra and completed her Bachelor of Dental Science at the University of Queensland in 1993. She has worked as a dentist in both public and private sectors over her 26 year career. After working in rural and metropolitan practices in Queensland, Kim cofounded and worked in her own private practice in South Brisbane for 22 years. This has allowed Kim to develop extensive experience in all aspects of general dentistry.
Kim has been a member of the Australian Dental Association for 26 yrs and mentors younger dentists commencing their careers. She is committed to ongoing professional education in all aspects of general dentistry.
Kim’s passion is preventative dentistry, especially for children, and has a commitment to providing exceptional quality treatment in a caring and compassionate manner.
When not at work Kim enjoys spending time with family and friends. She is a member of the RSPCA and loves all creatures great and small.
Dr Albion Huang
Having lived almost all of his life in Queensland and graduating from Griffith University, Albion relocated to Port Macquarie for his graduate job. Missing his family and friends in Brisbane, he has moved back home for work.
Albion is registered with the Dental Board of Australia and having seen patients for over seven years, he has experience caring for patients from a variety of ages and backgrounds. Albion attends conferences and seminars for continual self improvement and is always keen on learning to use new technology. He practices all aspects of general dentistry and takes advantage of any available dental technology for more comfortable patient care. Albion has an interest in cosmetic dentistry and loves to make patients ‘able to smile confidently again’.
Albion has conversational fluency in Mandarin and Cantonese and loves a game of volleyball in his time off.
Dr Rita Hsu
Dr. Rita is a dedicated and compassionate dentist with a passion for creating positive and comfortable experiences for her patients. Her journey in dentistry began at Griffith University, where she graduated with High Distinction in 2016. Since then, she has honed her skills and developed a particular interest in Cosmetic Dentistry including Veneer, Crown, and Bridge procedures. Rita is also highly trained in delivering CEREC one day crowns to provide efficient and convenient solutions for her patients.
Beyond the dental chair, Rita is a vibrant individual who finds joy in exploring new cafes and restaurants during her days off. Her adventurous spirit extends to outdoor activities, and she particularly enjoys exercising and hiking with her partner.
Dr. Rita Hsu is not just a dentist; she is a caring professional dedicated to enhancing smiles and ensuring a pleasant dental journey for each patient.
Dr Jae Cha
Dr Jae graduated from Griffith University in 2015 and has since been working in multiple private practices in Queensland over the past 7 years prior to joining the team at Swish Dental. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry with a strong focus on preventive dentistry and is committed to making a positive contribution to the oral health of the community through patient education. With her gentle and caring nature, she ensures that her patients always feel comfortable and her greatest pleasure is to see patients with dental phobia leaving with a big smile after treatment. She is also dedicated to providing the highest quality of care by keeping up to date with the latest knowledge and technology through continuing professional development courses. When not at work, she enjoys spending time travelling and eating good food with her family and friends, and you may occasionally spot her on the golf course looking for her lost balls.
Dr. Christine Cheah
With over 20 years experience, including owning her own practice, Dr. Christine Cheah has been a valuable member of the Swish Mitchelton dental team since 2016.
Dr. Christine is highly trained and skilled in the advanced technologies of same day "CEREC" crowns and implant dentistry. When not working Dr Christine loves to cook, play the guitar, and is an avid underwater photographer with regular excursions to the outer Great Barrier Reef.
Dr. Christine is not just a dentist; she is a caring professional with a primary commitment to the dental well-being of her patients and ensuring they experience the highest level of comfort and satisfaction.
Dr Aiden Roze
Dr Aiden Qualified in Baghdad in 2000. He has been registered in Australia since 2008 and has been working near the Gold Coast since. He completed a Masters in Oral Surgery in 2019 giving him the skills to take out teeth which would otherwise need to be removed by a Specialist.
He is passionate about treating the whole family by providing the utmost care in a gentle and caring approach. He is particularly interested in oral surgery dentistry (taking out difficult teeth including wisdom teeth), as well as preventative dentistry, to help patients achieve healthier and greater lifelong smiles. To provide the utmost care, Aiden regularly attends further professional development to enhance her dental skills.
Dr Aiden also provides TMJ pain relief using Dysport for patients who have jaw pain or TMJ pain.
Besides dentistry, Aiden enjoys spending his time outdoors going to the beach or hiking and loves to cook. Aiden is a member of the Australian Dental Association.
Dr Deborah Du
Dr Deb originally grew up in Sydney and moved to Brisbane to study Dentistry. After falling in love with Brisbane and its people she decided to stay put and her family followed her. She graduated from the University of Queensland with first class Honours. She is always looking forward to learning about the latest technology and improvements in Dentistry. She loves helping patients achieve their goals, whether it be looking after their dental health or improving their smile. Dr Deb wants her patients to feel comfortable in the chair and will always take the time to answer any questions or concerns patients may have.
Dr Deb has an active lifestyle and enjoys playing social volleyball with friends and hiking. Travelling is also something she loves doing and is excited for when international travel becomes the norm again!
Dr Edward Kuswanto
Dr Edward Kuswanto graduated with honours from the University of Queensland. Loving the sunshine state, Edward has relocated from Sydney and is enjoying the Brisbane lifestyle. Not only is he a diligent academic achiever, but he is also a natural at putting anxious patients at ease with his friendly and bubbly personality. He is dedicated, caring and always gives the best, honest and individualised treatment plan for every patient.
While Dr Edward enjoys all aspects of dentistry including more complicated procedures such as root canal therapy, crown and bridge, he also focuses on preventative dentistry as the best way to maintain your oral health.
Outside of dentistry, Edward loves to play board games, go to the beach and volunteering around the dental community.
Dr Jackie Yiu
Jackie graduated from Griffith University with distinction and Academic Excellence. Having grown up in Brisbane, he has worked in multiple private practices within Queensland and enjoys exploring new towns and cities. Whilst he is a high achiever the academic field, Jackie prides himself in providing gentle, caring and thorough treatments to all his patients, particularly finding fulfilment in improving his patients’ oral health.
His passion for treating periodontal diseases, and dental implants have motivated him to further his training by enrolling within the post-graduate periodontics course at the University of Queensland. Outside of the clinic, Jackie enjoys spending time attending courses as well as keeping up to date on the latest research within oral surgery and dental implants.
Outside of dentistry, Jackie enjoys hiking, cycling, photography and spending time with friends and family.
Dr William Chen
Dr William Chen graduated from the University of Queensland with 1st Class Honours. As the latest member of the Swish Dental team, he is eager to share his passion and expertise in dentistry.
In addition to his dental pursuits, William is currently pursuing a medical degree at the University of Queensland. William looks forward to making a positive impact on the oral health and well-being of our community.
Outside of the dental clinic, William enjoys chess, cycling and programming.
Dr Mohammed El-Hazek
Dr Mo comes to perform root canal procedures to patients at both practices. He is very quick and excellent at root canal procedures. He graduated in 2000 and did a Masters in Endodontics in 2009. He has been in Australia since 2012 and is a member of the Australian society of Endodontology and the American Association of Endodontics.
He is able to do all root canal procedures, internal bleaching for teeth that are severely discoloured and periapical surgeries.
Dr Mo aims to make your experience as painless and comfortable as possible.
Prosthetist
Rod Litzow
Rod is our Dental Prosthetist he has many years of experience making and fitting dentures.
He will always take the time to listen to your denture needs and ensure your dentures are cosmetically pleasing, comfortable and functional.
He is an accredited Swiss Denture Concept Clinician and provides his denture patients with the best service possible.
In his spare time Rod is a keen rower regularly competing in Masters rowing regattas.
Recently he has taken up the hobby and is challenging himself in learning how to play the banjo.
Practice Manager - Francesca Sweatman
Francesca is our practice manager. She is a mum of 3 children who loves spending time with her family and at the beach. She also loves baking delicious treats.
Francesca has been working in the dental industry for over 10 years and completed her certificate 3 in dental assisting in 2014 and compled her diploma of Practice Management in 2022. Francesca is very passionate about patient care and making sure our patients have a comfortable and positive experience.

Mia Vueti
Mia is one of the friendly faces at our Everton Park dental practice. She has worked with Swish Dental since 2017. Mia is dedicated to helping patients with every step of their dental visit from making patients feel comfortable, scheduling their appointments, to processing their insurance claims.
In her spare time Mia loves being with her family/friends, travelling, being outside and shopping.
Rebecca Martin
Bec has over 12 years dental assisting experience and enjoys practicing 4 handed dentistry and assisting with implants.
In her free time she loves visiting local farmers markets with her husband and 3 children. Bec adores animals and has a flock of chickens, 2 dogs, 1 cat and a possum who loves to visit each night.
Alanah Grant
Alanah has a wonderful bubbly spirit and is a very close friend of Francesca. She has a 3 year old daughter and is a great pleasure to be around. Her goal is to deliver you a wonderful experience.
Alanah will always be there to help you in any way you need. She always goes above and beyond to make your experience good.
Sharon Samuel
My name is Sharon Samuel and I’m currently studying 1st year biomedical science at ACU. I’m hoping to transition into dentistry in the next following years! I’m very passionate about my studies however in my free time, I love heading up to the coast for a nice relaxing day at the beach.
Isabelle Swindale
Isabelle is currently studying a Bachelor of Vision Science/Master of Optometry at QUT, with the goal of transitioning into Dentistry in the upcoming years. She joined the team here at Swish Dental in 2022 and outside of work and study she loves travelling, shopping, and spending time with family and friends.

Is every dental practice Accredited?
No, dental practice accreditation is mandatory. It is an expensive and time consuming process so not all dental practice become accredited. At Swish Dental we strive to provide the best for our patients.
